"Holocaust" revisionist is candidate for school board in Wisconsin

1.  "Holocaust" revisionist is candidate for school board in Wisconsin

2. The case of Nahman and Michael Lichtenstein

Thanks to Joseph Rizoli for this news tip about the courageous German-American Chris Miller, who is a candidate for a Wisconsin town's school board:

Don’t speak ill of your neighbor!
By Christine B. Miller
606 S. Cypress Ave. • Marshfield, WI 54449
Candidate for the Marshfield, Wisconsin school board

I was born, for better or worse, with a keen sense of justice. In the immaturity of my youth not even Jesus escaped my  censoring judicial scrutiny. I  thought  that  Jesus was not always fair, and prone to overstatements. Take the story of  Mary and Martha. Jesus entered the house of the two sisters as an honored guest. Martha runs into the kitchen to prepare the food. Mary however just sits at Jesus’ feet and listens to what her beloved master has to say. Martha comes complaining to Jesus, asking him to shoo  Mary into the kitchen where she,  without help is slaving away on his behalf.  Martha had my complete sympathy. But what did Jesus reply? “Mary has chosen the better part!”

It took  a personal experience which made the scales fall from my eyes.  I had come back from a trip to Germany and was eager to share what I had experienced. But nobody was there to listen,  everybody being in the kitchen to prepare food for me when I wasn’t even hungry. My family tried to satisfy the wants of my body and ignored the wants of my soul.  And suddenly I understood. If  I felt my real wants ignored how much more should Jesus feel it, he who had a message to impart.

A second saying of Jesus: “Do  not speak ill of your neighbor! “  I did not misunderstand,  but I felt the punishment for ill words was harsh. Then one day, browsing through the stacks of the M. public library  I came across George Patton’s book, War As I  Knew It.  Here is the momentous passage (p. 266-267) which opened my eyes to the moral weight of Jesus’ command:

“It was reported …that a certain number of German troops …had captured a hospital column…   The first reports, which came in at night, gave a most horrible account of atrocities, including the murder of all members of the hospital, the raping of all nurses, and the destruction of the ammunition dump.

"In this particular case an officer and two enlisted men were killed in the first fighting. Thereafter, the Germans, while helping themselves to trucks and ambulances, which they used for their own transportation in no way molested the doctors, nurses, or enlisted personnel of the hospital… We rounded them up the next day... In all some eight hundred prisoners were taken and probably five hundred killed, as the soldiers were still under the impression  that atrocities had been committed.”

Jesus in his infinite wisdom knew the power of words. In the beginning were the words, and the words not only caused the death of five hundred German soldiers, but left widows, orphans and young maidens, remaining barren because the young men had been killed. The  United States was brought into the First World War against Germany with words -- words of atrocity propaganda. The Unites States again is at war brought about by words directed against  another “evil Hitler,” namely Saddam Hussein. What do I believe of Saddam Hussein?  I believe that Saddam  kept a fractious country together with an iron fist (remember Lincoln) and tried to keep within bounds the religious fervor of  the Shia sect.

No other people had for so long and so persistently ill words directed against them as the Germans. The predatory pack does not single out the strongest animal of a herd, but the weakest one and that is what Germany has become. What disturbs me most is that the Christian clergy is part of that pack. Is that a sign that the anti-Christ is here, the great deceiver  pretending to do good, but bringing death and  destruction.

In the book  Im Westen nichts Neues (Remarque) three German soldiers knowing each other and how honorable they conducted themselves in battle can’t understand why the Allies  pour  buckets of atrocity  propaganda over the Germans. In the English translation of Remarque's book,  All Quiet on the Western Front, this passage is left out. Is that a hint of a bad conscience, or more lying by omission?

Accompanying my husband to a meeting in Toronto, Canada years ago, I  attended a hearing for Ernst Zundel in front of the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal. The lawyer for the Jewish side, a  Mr. Rosen, grilled one of  Ernst Zundel’s  German defense witnesses who was in  the Hitler Youth. Mr. Rosen imputed that the witness during these years was indoctrinated with hate for the Jews. The witness replied: “No. we did not talk about Jews.” Coming back to his seat Mr. Rosen muttered under his breath: “You are a liar.”

My comment: No, the German witness was not a liar. This writer and all the Germans whom I talked to after the war can tell you the same thing. Unlike the Allies  we were not inundated with atrocity propaganda against our opponents.

I dare to say it! We Germans who were defeated, raped, plundered, starved and are still relentlessly maligned, especially with a transposed Holocaust, were the better Christians.

Letter to:
What a pleasant surprise to read an article mentioning the lively school board candidate Christine Miller. To see this woman's fight to correct "holocaust" education in the schools is such a noble thing and a brave one at that. As someone who has the age, wisdom and the memory to live through the so called "holocaust" it is refreshing that she can bring to light information on a topic that has generally been shaped by media misrepresentation and anti-German hate. Good for her for trying to fight the fight for freedom of speech, even though her adversaries are obviously doing a smear campaign on her. She is a woman of integrity.

Deadly Fire Factory's Prominent Owners
Phila. Landlords Related to Rabbi and Hamodia Publisher

By Josh Nathan-Kazis
Published April 27, 2012, issue of May 04, 2012
The father-and-son owners of a derelict Philadelphia factory that went up in flames and killed two firefighters in April are members of a prominent Brooklyn Hasidic Jewish family. Nahman and Michael Lichtenstein, who face a grand jury probe in connection with the deadly blaze, are related to a prominent Hasidic rabbi as well as to the publisher of the Orthodox newspaper "Hamodia."

They reportedly own about 30 other properties throughout Philadelphia, many of them vacant and otherwise troubled. Michael Lichtenstein is also developing a multimillion-dollar luxury rental building in one of Brooklyn’s most fashionable neighborhoods.

The former Buck Hosiery Co. building in Philadelphia’s Kensington section had reportedly received numerous citations by local authorities, as well as complaints from neighbors, in the months before the inferno erupted on April 9. Fifty-nine-year-old Philadelphia fire Lt. Robert Neary and firefighter Daniel Sweeney, 25, both died when an adjacent building collapsed. Three other firefighters were injured.

According to Philadelphia press accounts, Nahman and Michael Lichtenstein are subjects of a grand jury investigation that will determine whether criminal charges will be filed over the blaze in the factory they owned. Since the fire, inspections of the other Philadelphia properties owned by the family have unearthed violations and hundreds of thousands in unpaid taxes.

One abandoned row house owned by the men has been used as a headquarters by drug dealers. And a condominium development owned by the men in Center City Philadelphia is in foreclosure proceedings following a default on an $11.5 million bank loan, according to a Philadelphia Inquirer report. The Lichtensteins could not be reached for comment. Their attorney also did not respond to a request for comment. Though Philadelphia press accounts have referred to a third Lichtenstein family member, Yechiel Lichtenstein, as an owner of the Philadelphia properties, documents show that Michael and Yechiel are names alternately used by the same person. Michael is the son of Nahman Lichtenstein and his wife, Ruth Lichtenstein, founder and publisher of the Brooklyn-based, English-language, ultra-Orthodox, daily newspaper "Hamodia." "Hamodia," which is widely read in Orthodox communities around the United States, has a policy against running photographs of women in deference to Orthodox modesty standards. During Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential run the paper said it would not publish images of her. Ruth Lichtenstein is a granddaughter of a former leader of the Ger Hasidic dynasty, one of the largest Hasidic sects in the world. She is a cousin of Rabbi Yaakov Aryeh Alter, the sect’s current Israel-based leader. A person who answered the telephone at Ruth Lichtenstein’s office referred questions about the fire to her attorney, who did not respond to requests for comment. Judy Brown, author of “Hush,” a controversial novel about sexual abuse in Brooklyn’s Boro Park neighborhood, is Ruth Lichtenstein’s daughter.

Despite business troubles in Philadelphia, Michael Lichtenstein has invested in a major new residential development in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, a once-industrial neighborhood now booming with high-end condominiums. The planned rental apartments are on North 6th Street, around the corner from a subway stop and near an active nightlife strip. The $13.7 million property was purchased last December from the local Catholic parish and consists of a former church, a shuttered parochial school, a rectory and a parking lot.

“It’s almost as prime as you can get… in Williamsburg,” said Williamsburg real estate broker David J. Maundrell III, president of aptsandlofts.com Once complete, the property could draw rental rates as high as $3,200 per month for a 700-square-foot apartment, Maundrell said. In April 2011, Michael Lichtenstein and two partners formed a company called North Flats LLC to buy, develop and operate the plush Williamsburg property. The bishop of Brooklyn had issued a decree in March permitting the sale of the church. Construction at the site has drawn a handful of ultimately unsubstantiated complaints in recent weeks, according to records from New York City’s Department of Buildings. On two occasions in April, a complainant reported that items had fallen from the construction site to the sidewalk: in one case, a two-by-four plank; in another, shards of glass. Inspectors dispatched to the site on both occasions found that no violation citation was warranted, according to records. (End quote; emphasis supplied).

Identity of Talmudic molesters protected by District Attorney

"Adjudicated without public scrutiny"

The identity of Talmudic child molesters is protected in New York by the District Attorney

Another outrageous case of preferential treatment

Americans continue to be oblivious to the growing threat of Talmudic law in America and the Zionist supremacy it generates over the rest of us less-than-human gentiles. Here below is another case of the preferential treatment which prosecutors immersed in a Talmudic mentality and ethos evince within law enforcement: one law for the Master Race of Holy People and another for everyone else. Imagine if the identity of Catholic priest-molesters were concealed in this manner? The media outcry would form a sonic boom that would resound from coast to coast.

Orthodox Abuse Suspects Get Exemption
Brooklyn Prosecutors Deny Request for Identity of Sex Suspects

By Paul Berger • berger@forward.com
Forward newspaper (New York)
Published April 24, 2012, issue of May 04, 2012

Orthodox Jews charged with child sex abuse in Brooklyn (New York) should have their identities protected because of the community’s “tight-knit and insular” nature, prosecutors claim in a remarkable response to demands for information about the cases.

Rejecting a Forward request under the state’s Freedom of Information Law, the Brooklyn district attorney made the startling claim that Orthodox Jews deserve a blanket exemption from the usual public disclosure rules. Prosecutors claimed that Orthodox Jews are “unique” in that releasing the names of suspects would allow others in the community to identify their victims.

“The circumstances here are unique,” Assistant District Attorney Morgan Dennehy wrote in an April 16 letter to the Forward. “Because all of the requested defendant names relate to Hasidic men who are alleged to have committed sex crimes against Hasidic victims within a very tight-knit and insular Brooklyn community, there is a significant danger that the disclosure of the defendants’ names would lead members of that community to discern the identities of the victims.”

Although Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes has long resisted requests to identify Orthodox sex suspects, the letter is believed to represent the first time his office spelled out why it specifically singled them out for preferential treatment.

Dennehy cited the state’s civil rights laws in denying the Forward’s request for the names of 85 Orthodox Jews arrested on sex charges during the past three years. The Forward made its request in December 2011 after prosecutors announced that scores of Orthodox Jews had been charged under a special program designed to encourage the community to come forward with information.

He did not explain whether prosecutors had concluded that there was anything specific about each of the 85 suspects that might make it possible for others to determine the identity of their victim from the identity of the suspect.

He also did not explain whether such a blanket exemption might be granted to other similarly “tight-knit” communities in the borough. And there were no details about what criteria prosecutors would use to determine whether a particular group should be granted such preferential status.

Dennehy also claimed that revealing the names of abuse suspects could harm the operation of the DA’s special hotline, Kol Tzedek, or Voice of Justice, which was set up to three years ago to encourage Orthodox abuse victims to come forward. Disclosing suspects’ names could cause victims to lose faith in the hotline, which in turn would “interfere with law enforcement investigations or judicial proceedings,” he claimed.

Marci Hamilton, a law professor at Yeshiva University, said that prosecutors’ refusal to release the suspects’ names or other information about their alleged crimes amounts to “enabling” abusers.

“I think they are complicit in what enables these kinds of perpetrators in these kinds of communities if they are going… to refuse to publish names of any child sex predators,” Hamilton said. “When names of perpetrators are made public, their other victims are empowered to come forward and the whole community is given the power to identify and stop them and other predators.”

Hamilton added: “What the DA’s office is doing, unfortunately, is playing right into the hands of the abusers.”

Daniel Mullkoff, a legal fellow with the New York Civil Liberties Union, said there was no good reason to withhold the names of abuse suspects from the public. “In this case, the public has raised concerns about what the district attorney is doing,” he said. “Withholding of this information is without a legal basis and denies access to just the type of information that the public records law seeks to make public.”

In October 2009, Hynes office redacted the names of 26 Orthodox Jews on a list of those charged with sex crimes. A Freedom of Information Law request submitted by the Forward to see those names was refused.

When Hynes last year trumpeted the arrests of 85 Orthodox Jews on sex crimes charges since 2008, he again refused to release the suspects’ names. He cited the need to protect the identity of victims. Yet that same week, Hynes issued a press release publicizing the name of a non-Jewish man convicted of raping his girlfriend’s daughter. Hynes released the man’s name, the neighborhood where he lived and the victim’s age, enough information for any neighbor to identify the girl.

Hynes even refused to name 14 Orthodox people who were convicted of sex crimes, 10 of whom pleaded guilty. They were sentenced to between one month and 20 years in jail. Although some of those cases were covered in the media, several were adjudicated without public scrutiny.

Remembering Israeli holocaust against Palestinians

Human rights activists gather at the Deir Yassin Massacre Memorial on the shore of Seneca Lake in upstate New York

Led by Prof. Dan McGowan, eighteen people gather in New York to bear witness to the Israeli holocaust against the Palestinians, as symbolized by the Deir Yassin massacre.

Israeli Woman Seriously Injured as "Holocaust Siren" Sounds (Thursday, April 19th, 2012)
At 10:00am Thursday morning, a two-minute siren was heard nationwide marking the beginning of "Holocaust" Remembrance Day events. As the siren sounded, a 64-year-old woman on King Shaul Street in Beersheva was struck by a vehicle as she stood at attention during the siren. She was struck by a passing vehicle and seriously injured as she was thrown and pinned between two cars, apparently sustaining a serious head injury. She was transported to the trauma unit of Soroka Hospital in the city. Elsewhere, another woman sustained moderate injuries as she too was struck during the siren on Route 44. She was transported to Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv.

Mel Gibson responds to Joe Eszterhas’s allegations

Hollywood screenwriter Joe Eszterhas has accused Mel Gibson of "anti-semitism" after the actor and director, along with studio Warner Brothers, rejected his script about a famous Jewish military victory centered on the Maccabee resistance. In a letter published by the film blog, The Wrap, Eszterhaus alleged that Gibson has used "anti-semitic" slurs around him on numerous occasions and has acted aggressively towards the screenwriter and his family.

Mr. Gibson responded with a letter to Mr. Eszterhas. It addresses the 9-page memo that Eszterhas delivered to Gibson alleging that the filmmaker uttered outrageous "anti-Semitic" comments during their collaboration on a script about heroic Jewish warrior Judah Maccabee, which Eszterhas only aired after Warner Bros rejected the scribe’s script.

If Eszterhas really heard all the hateful things he says Gibson told him, then why didn’t the brash screenwriter quit the project instead of tolerating the alleged slurs? This is the project that shocked Hollywood because of Gibson’s past problems with the Zionist community. One question answered by Mel’s missive is that Gibson is clearly going forward with the movie — but without Eszterhas:

Gibson’s Letter to Eszterhas

I have your letter. I am not going to respond to it line by line, but I will say that the great majority of the facts as well as the statements and actions attributed to me in your letter are utter fabrications. I would have thought that a man of principle, as you purport to be, would have withdrawn from the project regardless of the money if you truly believed me to be the person you describe in your letter. I guess you only had a problem with me after Warner Brothers rejected your script.

I will acknowledge like most creative people I am passionate and intense. I was very frustrated that when you arrived at my home at the expense of both Warner Brothers and myself you hadn’t written a single word of a script or even an outline after 15 months of research, meetings, discussions and the outpouring of my heartfelt vision for this story. I did react more strongly than I should have. I promptly sent you a written apology, the colorful words of which you apparently now find offensive. Let me now clearly apologize to you and your family in the simplest of terms.

Contrary to your assertion that I was only developing Maccabees to burnish my tarnished reputation, I have been working on this project for over 10 years and it was publicly announced 8 years ago. I absolutely want to make this movie; it’s just that neither Warner Brothers nor I want to make this movie based on your script.

Honestly, Joe, not only was the script delivered later than you promised, both Warner Brothers and I were extraordinarily disappointed with the draft. In 25 years of script development I have never seen a more substandard first draft or a more significant waste of time. The decision not to proceed with you was based on the quality of your script, not on any other factor.

I think that we can agree that this should be our last communication.

Israeli Army Colonel beats Danish human rights activist

Watch the video and see what liars certain rabbis are - they claim in the Jerusalem Post that the Israeli officer was attacked with a stick and had his fingers broken and wrist injured prior to bashing the Danish human rights activist in the face with the butt of a machine gun. Watch the video and see if you think the Danish man is responsible for breaking Lt. Col. Shalom Eisner's fingers and injuring his wrist before the officer smashed the blond Danish man in the face:

"...rabbi of the Samaria region Elyakim Levanon was even more vehement in his support for Eisner...The rabbi...criticized Eisner’s indefinite suspension prior to the completion of an investigation, citing the officer’s claims that the same activist had struck him with a stick shortly before the scenes depicted in the video, breaking two of his fingers and injuring his wrist.

"Former IDF (Israeli Army) Chief Rabbi Avihai Rontzky has also weighed in on the incident, and slammed what he labeled “an instinctive and impulsive” reaction against an officer who has “given his life everyday for the sake of the Jewish nation.” “Correct, it doesn’t look good and the officer himself acknowledges that he made a mistake,” said Rontzky, “but they edited the video so that you couldn’t see that he was attacked and that they broke his hand. They need to look at the big picture.”
—"National Religious rabbis voice support for Eisner,” by Jeremy Sharon,
Jerusalem Post, April 16, 2012 (Emphasis supplied)

Did he get his fingers supposedly broken by protestors, or in the act of smashing protestors with his rifle butt?

"Yoav Mordechai, the chief spokesman of the military, said that the clash was grave, but that the video clip showed 'only part of the picture' by leaving out violence on the part of the activists. Associates of Colonel Eisner told Israeli news media that two of his fingers were broken during the confrontationThe Danish citizen involved in the episode, reached on Monday by telephone, strongly rejected the accusations. The man, a 20-year-old who identified himself only by the first name Andreas, said the military was filming the whole scene but had not provided any documentation of violence by protesters. A Dutch volunteer said by telephone that Colonel Eisner had also hit her and a Palestinian woman in the face, and a Palestinian man in the back, with his rifle.”
—Isabel Kershner, New York Times, April 16, 20012 (Emphasis supplied).

"Israeli military spokeswoman Lt. Col. Avital Leibovich said the officer's actions were not in line with military training and did "not bide with the ethical code and the moral values that we teach our soldiers and commanders" but suggested that the video did not tell the whole story. "It was an illegal riot trying to block a road," Leibovich said of the activists. The video, she maintained, represented an edited 30 seconds of a 120-minute-long event in which the officer in question had his hand broken by stick-wielding protesters.
— Kevin Flower, "Israel suspends officer videotaped striking activist,” CNN, April 16, 2012

ADDED APRIL 21: New video evidence released proves the Israeli colonel employed brute force unprovoked. In this new video footage (below) Eisner is seen striking five different human rights activists in the April 14 attack. Contrary to Eisner’s own claims, there are no signs of violence from the protesters toward Israeli troops or Eisner.

Lt. Col. Shalom Eisner assaults more protestors

Amir Mizroch is the editor of the English Newsletter Edition of Israel Hayom, a widely-read Israeli daily newspaper. He says the rifle butt stroke that Eisner delivered to Andreas Ias, the activist participating in the Jordan Valley cycle tour, is a "Krav Maga" blow that Israeli army recruits are taught in their first week of basic training. Krav Maga is one of the deadliest hand-to-hand combat techniques, derived from skills developed by Imi Lichtenfeld. This appears to be what Lt. Col. Shalom Eisner resorted to when faced with the "threat" posed by a group of youthful protestors:

Hollywood Zionists Veto Mel Gibson’s Maccabees Movie

Hollywood's numerous followers of the Talmud have nixed a proposed Mel Gibson movie about the Old Testament on the preposterous supposition that the Talmudists have a proprietary relationship with the Old Testament Book of Maccabees. The religion of Orthodox (Pharisaic) Judaism has no copyright on God's Word, which they repeatedly nullify in favor of their rabbis' words. Out of this nullifcation the Pharisees’ religion, known today as "Judaism" was born. The ban on Gibson comes just a few days after the Israelis banned Nobel Laureate Günter Grass because he penned a poem warning of the possible Israeli annihilation of the Iranian people. The Zionist empire and its religion of Judaism pose as open-minded alternatives to Muslim theocracy, but are founded upon and flourish by means of media control and censorship. -Michael Hoffman

April 11, 2012,

By Sharon Waxman and Brent Lang

Exclusive -- Warner Bros. has put on hold a controversial Mel Gibson movie project about the Jewish Maccabee revolt in the 2nd century B.C. after reading the script by writer Joe Eszterhas, TheWrap has learned.

A spokesman for the studio told TheWrap, "We are analyzing what to do with the project."

Jewish groups were outraged after news broke in September that Gibson had reached a production deal with Warner's to direct the story of Judah Maccabee, whose victory over Greek and Syrian armies is celebrated at Hanukkah. One Jewish group called it "a moral lapse in judgment."

Eszterhas delivered the script in late February, and Warner's has since passed on it, according to an individual close to the project. Warner production president Greg Silverman described it as lacking in "feeling" and "a sense of triumph," according to the individual.

As another individual put it, "The script didn't pass muster.”

A spokesman for Gibson had no immediate comment. Eszterhas declined to comment. Warner's has a long history of collaborating with Gibson, but the star was upset after the studio rescinded his cameo in "The Hangover Part II" when the crew protested his involvement.

The project involved one of Gibson's favored themes: an underdog army fighting for freedom. In 165 B.C., Jewish leader Maccabee led his brothers in revolt against the Seleucid Empire, ruled by Antiochus Epiphanes, who had forbidden Jewish practices.

Noting his checkered history of making anti-Semitic remarks and his controversial depiction of Jews in his 2003 film "The Passion of the Christ," Jewish leaders said the choice of Gibson to direct a film about a prominent figure in their religion was insensitive.

"Casting him as a director or perhaps as the star of 'Judah Maccabee' is like casting Madoff to be the head of the Securities and Exchange Commission," Rabbi Marvin Hier, founder of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, said in a statement after the project was announced.

The Anti-Defamation League asked Warner's to reconsider the choice of Gibson. In a statement, the group said, "Not only has Mel Gibson shown outward antagonism toward Jews and Judaism in his public statements and actions, but his previous attempt to bring biblical history to life on the screen was marred by anti-Semitism."

The American Gathering of Holocaust Survivors and their Descendants labeled the choice of Gibson a "moral lapse of judgment."

"Given our brutal experience, we are pained that Warner's has abandoned principle and taken this unworthy path," the group said at the time.

Gibson was detained by police in Malibu for drunken driving in 2006 and found himself embroiled in a public relations fiasco when reports surfaced that he had launched into expletive-laden anti-Semitic remarks while in custody.

It was left to Eszterhas to offer a modest defense of Gibson in a New York Times interview in February. The screenwriter noted that he had an anger problem but said he understood how to make a movie of the story of Maccabee on a "Braveheart"-like scale.

"We both saw it as Mel, maybe from his heart, wanting to do a terrific 'Braveheart'-like movie about Jewish history," said Eszterhas, who said he was comfortable working with Gibson despite his problem.

The Dispossession and Mass Murder of the Prussians

Revisionist History Newsletter issue no. 61 (April, 2012):

"Prussia: The Lost Country”

An entire nation was taken from the Germans after 700 years of inhabitation and dismantled. "Seven years of history gone after one lost war.”  Michael Hoffman provides a revisionist history of East Prussia, from its conquest in 1255 by the Teutonic Knights, to the Reformation, the Napoleonic wars, World War I, and the RAF and Soviet holocaust in Prussia 1944-45, and beyond.

On this historical journey, Hoffman takes up the question of Prussian aristocrat resistance to Hitler, and profiles heroic Prussian leaders and writers such as Agnes Miegel and Dr. Hans Graf von Lehndorff. The story of postwar Prussia from 1945 onward is an account of one of the most massive acts of population transfer and ethnic cleansing in modern western history.  In terms of extrusions of peoples it is comparable to anything experienced by Judaics under the Nazis, but almost nothing is known of it in the West. Hoffman rescues this unsung history of the Prussians from the memory hole.

Israelis ban Günter Grass over his poem

By Michael Hoffman

The Günter Grass poem protesting the possible annihilation of the Iranian people by the Israeli Air Force has led to the Nobel Laureate being banned by the Israelis. In a New York Times report in the April 9, 2012 issue, Israeli Minister Avigdor Lieberman the anti-Arab racist, is quoted making a moral objection to western intellectuals like Grass. Is Lieberman in a position to do so? The Times doesn’t tell its readers that Lieberman has talked of drowning Palestinians in the Dead Sea and executing Israeli Palestinians who talked to Hamas.

Lieberman is only one of numerous racist Israeli rogues who are being cited in the media as pillars of moral rectitude calling the supposedly vile German, Günter Grass, to account. Another is Israeli Interior Minister Eli Yishai, head of the Arab and gentile-hating Shas political party, whose spiritual leader, Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, has called for the extermination of the Palestinians and equated gentiles with donkeys. With these credentials and affiliations, Yishai called for Grass's Nobel Prize to be withdrawn. The western media play along with these Israeli racists and haters execrating Günter Grass for daring to call for peace and concern for the value of Iranian human life, if indeed it has any in the eyes of Lieberman, Yishai and Yosef.

Iranians are of such sub-human Talmudic status that the New York Times doesn't even bother to mention that the Grass poem seeks to protect Iranian people from a possible Israeli holocaust. Such protection for Iranians is not an issue for the western media. The sacrosanct immunity of Israeli violence and domination must be maintained against all dissenters, even Nobel Prize winners.

Imagine banning a poem because it sought to protest the possible annihilation of Israelis. The high brow literati of the West would rise with one voice to denounce such a ban as a neanderthal disgrace. While in the case of Grass, stock epithets of “anti-semitism” are hurled at the poet by the New York Times. The double-standard is breath-taking.

Grass should be given a medal for writing on behalf of millions of Iranians threatened by the Israeli Air Force and its bombs. Anyone who doubts what the Israeli military is willing to do to civilians, should examine the suppressed history of the Israeli bombing of the city of Beirut in July and August, 1982, a holocaust which the New York Times long ago conveniently forgot, along with many other massacres perpetrated by the Israelis.

This isn't the first time the Israelis have barred foreigners from entering the country as "punishment" for critical statements.  The US-based Judaic linguistics professor Noam Chomsky, who has often criticized the Israeli government, was banned from crossing the Israeli border from Jordan two years ago.  Last summer the Israelis stopped several hundred pro-Palestinian activists from travelling to the West Bank.  In October 2010, the Israelis expelled Irish Nobel Peace Prize winner Mairead Maguire after detaining her for a week. She had travelled to meet Israeli and Palestinian peace activists.

George Bush ordered training in Nevada for terrorists

April 6, 2012
M.E.K. might be the most infuriating thing you will read about the global war on terrror today: The New Yorker's Sy Hersh reports that during the Bush years,  the U.S. military trained the Iranian opposition group even though it is and was on the State Department's list of foreign terrorist organizations.
Members of M.E.K. (which translates to the People's Mujahedin of Iran) were trained at a U.S. base in the Nevada desert starting in 2005.
More recently, as NBC's Richard Engel and Robert Windrem reported in February, they have been involved in the targeted assassinations of Iranian nuclear scientists. Hersh adds in his report that while it's not known if those involved in the scientist killings are the same operatives as those who were trained in Nevada, Pentagon officials are impressed with how far M.E.K. has come. “The M.E.K. was a total joke,” a senior Pentagon consultant told Hersh, “and now it’s a real network inside Iran. M.E.K. now has a capacity for efficient operations than it never had before."

By Seymour M. Hersh

The New Yorker  April 6, 2012  (excerpt)

From the air, the terrain of the Department of Energy’s Nevada National Security Site, with its arid high plains and remote mountain peaks, has the look of northwest Iran. The site, some sixty-five miles northwest of Las Vegas, was once used for nuclear testing, and now includes a counterintelligence training facility and a private airport capable of handling Boeing 737 aircraft. It’s a restricted area, and inhospitable—in certain sections, the curious are warned that the site’s security personnel are authorized to use deadly force, if necessary, against intruders.

It was here that the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) conducted training, beginning in 2005, for members of the Mujahideen-e-Khalq, a dissident Iranian opposition group known in the West as the M.E.K. The M.E.K. had its beginnings as a Marxist-Islamist student-led group and, in the nineteen-seventies, it was linked to the assassination of six American citizens. It was initially part of the broad-based revolution that led to the 1979 overthrow of the Shah of Iran. But, within a few years, the group was waging a bloody internal war with the ruling clerics, and, in 1997, it was listed as a foreign terrorist organization by the State Department. In 2002, the M.E.K. earned some international credibility by publicly revealing—accurately—that Iran had begun enriching uranium at a secret underground location. Mohamed ElBaradei, who at the time was the director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, the United Nations’ nuclear monitoring agency, told me later that he had been informed that the information was supplied by the Mossad.

The M.E.K.’s ties with Western intelligence deepened after the fall of the Iraqi regime in 2003, and JSOC began operating inside Iran in an effort to substantiate the Bush Administration’s fears that Iran was building the bomb at one or more secret underground locations. Funds were covertly passed to a number of dissident organizations, for intelligence collection and, ultimately, for anti-regime terrorist activities. Directly, or indirectly, the M.E.K. ended up with resources like arms and intelligence. Some American-supported covert operations continue in Iran today, according to past and present intelligence officials and military consultants.

Despite the growing ties, and a much-intensified lobbying effort organized by its advocates, M.E.K. has remained on the State Department’s list of foreign terrorist organizations—which meant that secrecy was essential in the Nevada training. “We did train them here, and washed them through the Energy Department because the D.O.E. owns all this land in southern Nevada,” a former senior American intelligence official told me. “We were deploying them over long distances in the desert and mountains, and building their capacity in communications—coördinating commo is a big deal.” (A spokesman for J.S.O.C. said that “U.S. Special Operations Forces were neither aware of nor involved in the training of M.E.K. members.”)

The training ended sometime before President Obama took office, the former official said. In a separate interview, a retired four-star general, who has advised the Bush and Obama Administrations on national-security issues, said that he had been privately briefed in 2005 about the training of Iranians associated with the M.E.K. in Nevada by an American involved in the program. They got “the standard training,” he said, “in commo, crypto [cryptography], small-unit tactics, and weaponry—that went on for six months,” the retired general said. “They were kept in little pods.” He also was told, he said, that the men doing the training were from JSOC, which, by 2005, had become a major instrument in the Bush Administration’s global war on terror. “The JSOC trainers were not front-line guys who had been in the field, but second- and third-tier guys—trainers and the like—and they started going off the reservation. ‘If we’re going to teach you tactics, let me show you some really sexy stuff…’ ”

It was the ad-hoc training that provoked the worried telephone calls to him, the former general said. “I told one of the guys who called me that they were all in over their heads, and all of them could end up trouble unless they got something in writing. The Iranians are very, very good at counterintelligence, and stuff like this is just too hard to contain.” The site in Nevada was being utilized at the same time, he said, for advanced training of élite Iraqi combat units. (The retired general said he only knew of the one M.E.K.-affiliated group that went though the training course; the former senior intelligence official said that he was aware of training that went on through 2007.)

Allan Gerson, a Washington attorney for the M.E.K., notes that the M.E.K. has publicly and repeatedly renounced terror. Gerson said he would not comment on the alleged training in Nevada. But such training, if true, he said, would be “especially incongruent with the State Department’s decision to continue to maintain the M.E.K. on the terrorist list. How can the U.S. train those on State’s foreign terrorist list, when others face criminal penalties for providing a nickel to the same organization?”

Robert Baer, a retired C.I.A. agent who is fluent in Arabic and had worked under cover in Kurdistan and throughout the Middle East in his career, initially had told me in early 2004 of being recruited by a private American company—working, so he believed, on behalf of the Bush Administration—to return to Iraq. “They wanted me to help the M.E.K. collect intelligence on Iran’s nuclear program,” Baer recalled. “They thought I knew Farsi, which I did not. I said I’d get back to them, but never did.” Baer, now living in California, recalled that it was made clear to him at the time that the operation was “a long-term thing—not just a one-shot deal.”

Massoud Khodabandeh, an I.T. expert now living in England who consults for the Iraqi government, was an official with the M.E.K. before defecting in 1996. In a telephone interview, he acknowledged that he is an avowed enemy of the M.E.K., and has advocated against the group. Khodabandeh said that he had been with the group since before the fall of the Shah and, as a computer expert, was deeply involved in intelligence activities as well as providing security for the M.E.K. leadership. For the past decade, he and his English wife have run a support program for other defectors. Khodabandeh told me that he had heard from more recent defectors about the training in Nevada. He was told that the communications training in Nevada involved more than teaching how to keep in contact during attacks—it also involved communication intercepts. The United States, he said, at one point found a way to penetrate some major Iranian communications systems. At the time, he said, the U.S. provided M.E.K. operatives with the ability to intercept telephone calls and text messages inside Iran—which M.E.K. operatives translated and shared with American signals intelligence experts. He does not know whether this activity is ongoing.

Five Iranian nuclear scientists have been assassinated since 2007. M.E.K. spokesmen have denied any involvement in the killings, but early last month NBC News quoted two senior Obama Administration officials as confirming that the attacks were carried out by M.E.K. units that were financed and trained by Mossad, the Israeli secret service. NBC further quoted the Administration officials as denying any American involvement in the M.E.K. activities. The former senior intelligence official I spoke with seconded the NBC report that the Israelis were working with the M.E.K., adding that the operations benefitted from American intelligence. He said that the targets were not “Einsteins."

The goal is to affect Iranian psychology and morale,”* he said, and to “demoralize the whole system—nuclear delivery vehicles, nuclear enrichment facilities, power plants.” Attacks have also been carried out on pipelines. He added that the operations are “primarily being done by M.E.K. through liaison with the Israelis, but the United States is now providing the intelligence.” An adviser to the special-operations community told me that the links between the United States and M.E.K. activities inside Iran had been long-standing. “Everything being done inside Iran now is being done with surrogates,” he said.

The sources I spoke to were unable to say whether the people trained in Nevada were now involved in operations in Iran or elsewhere. But they pointed to the general benefit of American support. “The M.E.K. was a total joke,” the senior Pentagon consultant said, “and now it’s a real network inside Iran. How did the M.E.K. get so much more efficient?” he asked rhetorically. “Part of it is the training in Nevada. Part of it is logistical support in Kurdistan, and part of it is inside Iran. M.E.K. now has a capacity for efficient operations that it never had before...”  (End quote; emphasis supplied).

*The lowering of the "morale" of the American people is also the "goal" of US and Israeli intelligence, so that Americans will fail to challenge evil and go along with a Romney (or Obama) presidency, and more useless, costly and terrorizing foreign wars on behalf of counterfeit "Israel," and the fevered war mania typified by the messianic complex of world-policing, American neconservative Zionists. --Michael Hoffman

English translation of Günter Grass’ poem on Israeli threat

Here is an English translation of a poetic protest by Nobel Prize laureate Günter Grass, against the prospect of the Israeli extermination (“auslöschen”) of the Iranian people. The original poem as he wrote it in German, follows this English rendering.

What Must Be Said
By Günter Grass, April, 2012

Why do I stay silent, conceal for too long
What clearly is and has been
Practiced in war games, at the end of which we as survivors
Are at best footnotes.

It is the alleged right to first strike
That could annihilate the Iranian people--
Enslaved by a loud-mouth
And guided to organized jubilation--
Because in their territory,
It is suspected, an atom bomb is being built.

Yet why do I forbid myself
To name that other country
In which, for years, even if secretly,
There has been a growing nuclear potential at hand
But beyond control, because no testing is available?

The universal concealment of these facts,
To which my silence subordinated itself,
I sense as incriminating lies
And force--the punishment is promised
As soon as it is ignored;
The verdict of "anti-Semitism" is familiar.

Now, though, because in my country
Which from time to time has sought and confronted
The very crime
That is without compare
In turn on a purely commercial basis, if also
With nimble lips calling it a reparation, declares
A further U-boat should be delivered to Israel,
Whose specialty consists of guiding all-destroying warheads to where the existence
Of a single atomic bomb is unproven,
But through fear of what may be conclusive,
I say what must be said.

Why though have I stayed silent until now?
Because I think my origin,
Which has never been affected by this obliterating flaw,
Forbids this fact to be expected as pronounced truth
Of the country of Israel, to which I am bound
And wish to stay bound.

Why do I say only now,
Aged and with my last ink,
That the nuclear power of Israel endangers
The already fragile world peace?
Because it must be said
What even tomorrow may be too late to say;
Also because we--as Germans burdened enough--
Could be the suppliers to a crime
That is foreseeable, wherefore our complicity
Could not be redeemed through any of the usual excuses.

And granted: I am silent no longer
Because I am tired of the hypocrisy
Of the West; in addition to which it is to be hoped
That this will free many from silence,
Prompt the perpetrator of the recognized danger
To renounce violence and
Likewise insist
That an unhindered and permanent control
Of the Israeli nuclear potential
And the Iranian nuclear sites
Be authorized through an international agency
Of the governments of both countries.

Only this way are all, the Israelis and Palestinians,
Even more, all people, that in this
Region occupied by mania
Live cheek by jowl among enemies,
In the end also to help us.

Translated by Heather Horn, who writes: "What Must Be Said,' is ...not exactly the prettiest prose in its original German, and the English doesn't read much better....I've tried to untangle some of the needlessly Teutonic constructions where it doesn't undo the deliberately winding and parenthetical tone too much. Even more concise German can sound circuitous to an English ear, but Grass's writing here is an extreme example..."

Was gesagt werden muss

sobald er mißachtet wird;

und bleiben will, zuzumuten.

Warum sage ich jetzt erst,

gealtert und mit letzter Tinte:

Die Atommacht Israel gefährdet

den ohnehin brüchigen Weltfrieden?

Weil gesagt werden muß,

was schon morgen zu spät sein könnte;

auch weil wir - als Deutsche belastet genug -

Zulieferer eines Verbrechens werden könnten,

das voraussehbar ist, weshalb unsere Mitschuld

durch keine der üblichen Ausreden

zu tilgen wäre.

Und zugegeben: ich schweige nicht mehr,

weil ich der Heuchelei des Westens

überdrüssig bin; zudem ist zu hoffen,

es mögen sich viele vom Schweigen befreien,

den Verursacher der erkennbaren Gefahr

zum Verzicht auf Gewalt auffordern und

gleichfalls darauf bestehen,

vom Wahn okkupierten Region

dicht bei dicht verfeindet leben

und letztlich auch uns zu helfen.
