I'd say this is unbelievable, but, looking at the Talmudists' track record, such an absolutely-insane, reality-inverting comment is par for the course and, sadly, to be expected. Thank you for your research and for keeping an eye on these things, Mr. Hoffman.
ReplyDeleteMy initial, admittedly knee-jerk, reaction was: The Talmud is inherently Satanic; a rabbi's favorable interpretation thereof is inevitably equally so. True enough. But Greenstein's anti-theological and anti-historical perspective on Sodom brings to mind a host of qualifiers other than and ahead of "Satanic". These include, but are not limited to: "Ineptly self-serving", "delusional", and "fatuous". Take your pick...or add your own.
